Class description

Musical Theater 2 - Acting through song

This course focuses on acting through song. How to create different characters and how to stay in character going from speaking to singing. Over 10 weeks, you will learn tools to learn text, create a character and dare to go outside of your comfort zone.

Participation in this course requires that you’ve gone through Musical Theater Level 1 at Dice Theater, as it builds on the skills developed throughout the curriculum.

What You'll Learn

• How to create different characters

• How to stay in character

• Confidence, stage presence, and ensemble performance skills

Students will develop their ability to combine singing, dancing and acting while learning material from a variety of musical theater songs.

Classes are supportive, playful and collaborative. Students are encouraged to explore, be creative and have fun! Students will build confidence, develop new skills and support one another every step of the way.

The course concludes with a showcase on our stage, where you'll have the opportunity to share what you've learned with friends, family, and fellow students.
