Award-winning comedian Mariah Girouard presents “Trauma Made Me Hot,” a work-in-progress comedic storytelling hour about murder, survival, and staying sexy despite all the sh** life throws at you.

It’s less stand-up, more live memoir. A raw narrative about what happens when life gives you rotten lemons, and how not to drown in bittersweet lemonade. Think (kind of?) comedy on the edge of a true crime documentary. Because trauma doesn’t just leave scars; it chisels cheekbones and gives you a fierce personality to match.

Mariah is an American comedian who audiences have described as “delightfully mean”. Her Wednesday night showcase, “Midweek Crisis,” won the People’s Choice Award for Barcelona’s best weekly show. Aside from being a regular MC, she debuted her solo show “Good Girl” at the 2024 Edinburgh Fringe, won the Brighton Fringe Award for her split hour “In the Sh*t” (2023), was named Barcelona’s Funniest Comedian (2022), and was a Stand-Up Revolution finalist. She has also had the pleasure of supporting acts such as Michelle Wolf, Kyla Cobbler, Reece Kidd, and Seann Walsh.
